Chelsea based Dawn Reader completed a Masters at Chelsea School of Art, London in 1991 and has been exhibiting since 1989. Her serene original landscape paintings have been featured on Channel 4 and has been shown in Sunday Times, Style Magazine, Coast, Elle Decoration, Vogue, House and Garden and Homes and Gardens magazines, Tableau Fine Arts and Collect magazines. Her ability to capture the quality of light particularly on the sea sets her above many other seascape/landscape painters. Dawn went to the Arctic in 2009, Iceland in the winter of 2010, and the following year travelled to Antarctica creating a whole new preoccupation and series on beautiful icy landscapes. Although the views are lonely and bleak, there’s a real sense of majestic freedom and complete awe. Dawn has especially been inspired by the Atlantic, Baltic and North Seas and her work continues to sell well in the UK as well as Internationally.
