Through his practice, photographer Luigi Visconti captures the essence of a city; it’s history, architecture and life. Originally from Italy but now based in London, Visconti became fascinated with the sharp, diverse and ever changing landscape of different cities. He learned to explore them from every angle, scaling to the top of construction sites to capture the skylines, architecture and the melee of everyday life. Visconti combines both silver and digital photographic techniques in producing his work then in post production he pulls together different moments from the shoot – which can last several hours – into one, large fictional piece often using a diasec mount to create clarity. His main collections of photographs are of New York, Cuba, Hong Kong, Dubai and Paris.
