Tess is an abstract painter who lives and works in London. Her practice explores the physicality of painting and the evocative potential of structure and materiality. She aims to amplify the physical presence of painting and the resonance of materials, whilst continually referencing the history of painting
In June 2015 Tess gained a Masters in Fine Art (with Distinction) from Central Saint Martins College of Art. She was selected to be part of the Arts Council funded project UK Young Artists, showing at Two Queens Gallery in Leicester in 2014. Tess was awarded a solo show at Chelsea College of Arts in February 2015, and her work has recently been selected for group shows at galleries including The Griffin Gallery, Studio 1.1, Schwartz Gallery, T-A-P and Charlie Smith London.
