Tony Briggs is a renowned fashion and editorial photographer who has been working as an in demand photographer since the 1980’s.
He spent his early career working for some of London's most revered record companies and gained prominence after he shot iconic album covers and directed videos for Ocean Colour Scene during the Brit Pop explosion of the 90’s.
A regular contributor to cutting-edge style magazines including i-D, The Face, LOADED, and Dazed & Confused, It was whilst working for the FACE Magazine in 1992 that he produced what have become his defining and most iconic photographs. Featuring a young 17-year-old Kate Moss, and taken when she was still a complete unknown, these images marked the beginning of her meteoric career.
Tony Briggs continues to work with some of the world's finest comedians, sporting heroes, musicians, and actors for some of the worlds leading publications and advertising agencies including Ewan McGreggor, Ricky Gervais, Heston Blumenthal, Stephen fry, Keira Knightley, and Paul Weller amongst others.
His TV appearances have included a commercial endorsement for Carl Zeiss, appearing as a mentor in BBC2’s acclaimed documentary series ‘Apply Immediately’ and the ‘I am PC’ campaign for Microsoft. Awards include ‘London Photographer of the Year’.
Briggs is based in London and continues to work with top agencies and performers, shooting commercials, short films, digital content, and stills campaigns.
